Range Ready is a beginner-friendly training day designed to help new shooters feel safe, confident, and prepared before going to the range. This session will cover the basics of firearm safety, responsible handling, range etiquette, and how common firearms operate. Participants will learn how to safely pick up, load, unload, clear, and handle a firearm, along with the core safety rules every shooter must know. We’ll also walk through what to expect at the range, including how to follow range commands, communicate with range staff, transport firearms safely, set up on the firing line, and avoid common mistakes new shooters make. The goal is simple: to remove uncertainty, build confidence, and give new shooters a strong safety foundation before they step onto the range. This training is ideal for people who are new to firearms, recently purchased their first firearm, or want a refresher before attending a live-fire range session. Topics covered include: The four rules of firearm safety Basic handgun operation and parts Loading, unloading, and clearing Safe handling and storage principles Range etiquette and range commands What to bring to the range How to build confidence without rushing Common beginner mistakes and how to avoid them This is a safety-first, judgment-free class focused on education, confidence, and responsible firearms ownership.
